VoxPop is still a few months out from hosting house concert, but here a sweet little show we’ll be hosting at Belafonte.

Canadian duo, Two Crows for Comfort, was an audience favorite when they passed through a couple years ago, so we’re confident this’ll be a lovely evening!

ARTIST BIOS:

Addison Agen is an Indie-Folk singer-songwriter best known as Season 13’s first runner up on NBC’s The Voice. Based out of Nashville, TN, the 22-year-old’s raw and heart-wrenching voice welcomes listeners of all kinds to be grateful and self-reflective. More recently, Addison has shared the stage with artists such as Bob Seger, Brandy Clark, Gordon Lightfoot, Liz Longley, May Erlewine, and The Winter Jam Tour. Her music is woven together with themes of nostalgia, acceptance, and hopefulness. Addison’s debut full-length album, “When The Morning Comes”, is available on all major streaming platforms.

Whitney Fenimore, a Nashville-based indie singer/songwriter, knew she was destined to be a musician ever since she picked up an old plastic toy guitar at her grandmother’s. She’s already released several albums, landed a publishing deal with Ken Caillat (Fleetwood Mac, Colbie Caillat), was a semi-finalist on Season 13 of NBC’s “The Voice,” had her SXSW debut showcase in 2018, and has opened up for GRAMMY-award winner Lori McKenna, Julia Michaels, The Brilliance and Jake Scott, among others.

On Saturday, March 30th, a group of people committed to peacemaking will be journeying in prayerful solidarity with all those suffering in Gaza, and calling for an immediate and sustained ceasefire.

We’ll start at Belafonte and journey through downtown, Maple Ridge, Greenwood, North Tulsa, and back to Belafonte. We will prayerfully walk 22 miles, the distance Palastinians walk, seeking safety as they flee from Gaza City to the Rafah Crossing refugee camp. With our bodies we will be prayerfully map the geography of Gaza onto our local communities.

On pilgrimage, in solidarity, we can start to transfigure our vicarious trauma into action as we realise in our bodies that 2 million displaced people can’t find shelter from bombardment no matter where they are in that small area.” — Jarrod McKenna

This walk is a local expression of a global movement of people embarking on pilgrimages of peace now spanning over 100 cities in 15 countries.

We are calling for:
-Enduring and Sustained Ceasefire.
- Immediate flow of life saving food, water, aid, fuel, and humanitarian assistance.
- Release of all hostages – both the Israeli hostages held by Hamas and the Palestinian hostages held in the Israeli prison system.
- End of occupation so a just-peace can begin
